Add Full Synthetic Transmission Fluid
When you are installing the transmission cooler you may want to top-up the transmission fluid. You are asked the question “Would you like Full Synthetic Transmission Fluid?” If you want the top-up transmission fluid and have a 6 Speed Diesel select “Yes, Add 2L 6 Speed Trans Fluid”. If you want the top-up transmission fluid and have a 10 Speed Diesel select “Yes, Add 1.8L 10 Speed Trans Fluid”. If you do not want the top-up transmission fluid select “No, Do Not Add Trans Fluid”.

- Never install a multi-piece transmission cooler bracket or one that includes the transmission cooler as part of the bracket structure. They are prone to fatigue and failure.
- Never install a stainless steel transmission cooler bracket. Stainless steel induces corrosion in your aluminium cooler. Just google “stainless steel and aluminium” to find out more.

Installation Instructions

If you own a Ranger Raptor, this product should hands down be your number one priority upgrade.
​In completely stock form, I experienced transmission overheating warnings twice. Because of that, I ended up paying out of pocket at the official service center to flush and replace the transmission fluid twice—essentially every 6,000 km. Looking back, that money easily would have covered the cost of this product, which makes me regret not buying it sooner.
​Another key point is the built-in thermostat. In my opinion, installing this unit is essential even before considering a high-capacity transmission oil pan.
​The dealership did warn me that installing an aftermarket unit like this would void the warranty on the transmission fluid. However, even with the factory warranty intact and two separate overheating warning lights triggered, the dealership provided zero real support or solutions. Because of that, I strongly recommend installing this product regardless of warranty status.
​What concerns me even more is that because this is an adaptive transmission, the vehicle will continue to drive seemingly fine for a while even after the fluid’s viscosity has broken down, masking the underlying damage.
