GM 4L80E Automatic Transmission to the Nissan GQ and GU Patrol Transfer Case Adaptor Kit
This kit allows you to use any standard or modified 4L80E / 4L85E Automatic Transmission. No modifications are required to the output shaft or transmission case to install this adaptor if it is a factory 4X4 variant. However the long splined late 2 wheel drive output shaft “130mm spline length” can be used but will need to be cut down to the correct length. Please note that this adaptor cannot be used with the early 2-wheel drive 4L80E variant that has a output shaft spline length of only 70mm, as this spline is not long enough to cut to length. This adaptor is compact in size meaning that no connecting spud shaft is required between the two shafts as a brand-new transfer case input gear is supplied to suit both the 4L80E 4X4 and late 2WD output shaft spline. This kit will require the transfer case to be disassembled enough to allow the new transfer case input shaft gear to be installed.
